Registration for the 2023 summer season begins January, 1st 2023!
We hope everyone is enjoying the Fall! TYSC has already been busy preparing for the summer rec season. We wanted to send out a quick e-mail with some updates and reminders regarding some new changes as well as registration dates before the holidays arrive.
If you haven’t heard Trempealeau, Ettrick and Galesville have been having a lot of conversations regarding ways to improve our programs and work together for our youth sports clubs. TYSC and GASR (Galesville Area Summer Rec) are sharing resources and co-oping for our Baseball and Softball programs beginning with Rookie on up. Many families have been asking for this for some time and we already have quite a few families from other towns already playing in Trempealeau. This will really benefit those families because now there won’t be any additional municipality (out of town) charge for Galesville residents. We also will be utilizing fields in Galesville through this co-op which should hopefully open up more practice times. This co-op doesn’t change where you register, everyone will register through the TYSC website.
Ettrick will continue their program as they always have with one change. 7th and 8th graders in Ettrick will now be playing in the summer (Coulee League) for both baseball and softball. This will allow all middle schoolers to participate in both spring and summer ball if they wish.
Most of our teams won’t really see much of a change beyond the addition of fields we may use. We anticipate as our communities grow, we may begin seeing two or more teams for each grade. As players get older this will allow the flexibility to form teams to play in different divisions so they can be competitive at different levels.
TYSC is not going away. It is just joining forces with GASR to offer a great summer youth baseball and softball program for our communities.
Again this does not impact t-ball as t-ball is still being offered in each Town.
Finally, Registration Opens January 1st and closes February 15st! If there are any questions feel free to contact anyone on the board.
